A Day at the Beach

On Saturday, Uncle Sean, Landon, Andrew, and I headed to the beach to eat lunch at one of our favorite beach restaurants, Cruisers. After lunch we headed to the beach for awhile. Andrew and I were excited to take Landon to the beach for the first time. As you will see in a picture below, Landon was not as excited to be at the beach.

Other Cute Pictures

I thought I would post some other good pictures from the weekend so far.

Sean was wearing some aviator glasses and he decided that Grandma should try them on. She doesn't look to bad!
After graduation we all went to eat at a Japanese Steak house. Landon came along and enjoyed the show. From across the table, all you could see of him was his big head!
Papa Frosty toting Landon around at the graduation party yesterday!
Landon's night was ending as Uncle Danny's was just getting started!

Graduation Speech

I thought you might like to hear Danny's speech from graduation. I have to admit I was a little nervous for him. Danny had three days to get an inspirational, sentimental, thought-provoking speech together...all of which Danny is not! it turned out to be a nice speech and if you know Danny, it it fitting to his personality.

A Birthday and a Graduation

On thursday we celebrated my 29th birthday and Danny's graduation. Grandma made a cherry pie for my birthday, but it was a little overshadowed by a much bigger event...the GRADUATION!The graduation was a very nice ceremony and it was even better that it was only an hour long. It helps when there are only 89 in the graduating class and the speeches were short, sweet, and to the point!. Here are some pictures of the Valedictorian before graduation.

Congrats Danny!

Fayetteville

Landon and I left for our trip to Florida. Since we were driving, we decided to stop overnight in Fayetteville, NC to visit with Brian, Debbie, and Miller (the dog). Andrew had to fly down this morning since the soccer team had a regional game last night. While visiting, we pretty much hung out at the house (which is an older house, but super cute!) Debbie made a great dinner and Landon played with Miller. We thought he might start crawling last night, it didn't happen but he was really close! I think it might happen this weekend sometime. I'm excited and not excited all at the same time. I always enjoy watching him learn new things, but crawling makes him completely mobile, which changes everything! We'll keep you posted if the crawling begins.

We had a great time visiting Brian and Debbie. We probably won't see them again until the wedding! Thanks a bunch!

Valedictorian

Yesterday was my brother Danny's Senior Banquet. At the banquet they acknowledged students for their accomplishments and announced the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the class of 2008.

Danny and my parents attended the banquet and they watched Danny accept many awards for his accomplishments at Bishop Snyder. They had no idea he would be named the Valedictorian of his class!!!
Danny has always been a contender his four years at Bishop Snyder but everyone thought it would be one of two girls at the school. At the banquet, they announced one of the girls as the Salutatorian, so my parents and Danny were expecting them to announce the other girl as the Valedictorian. All of a sudden Danny's name was called!
I am so excited to watch Danny graduate on Thursday and I am more excited to hear his words of wisdom to his fellow classmates (the pressure is on!). I couldn't image a more deserving person than Danny. I don't just say that because he is my brother, but because I have watched him grow into an amazing young man. I am so proud of all that he has accomplished in these short four years of high school.
Good Luck at UF Danny! We all love you!

Party boy!

I finally got some pictures of Landon from his weekend with my parents while Andrew and I were away for a wedding. So...here they are...
Landon in my mom's preschool class. The 4-year-olds loved him and sang to him. Mom my also showed him off to all the teachers at school.

Landon, Uncle Sean , & Papa Frosty at the baseball game in Tampa. Landon was great throughout the game and only took a short nap.

Landon was able to go down to the field before the game to start to get a picture with Darren.

Darren and all his fans went out after the game to a sports bar in Tampa. Landon hung with the best of them! He was out partying almost as long as Andrew and I were at the wedding.

Cookie Monster

Since I still haven't received the pictures from Landon's trip to Tampa with Grandma and Papa Frosty (hint, hint), I thought I would give you all some pictures I took of him this week.

I may have created a monster. I was running around the house trying to quickly do some house work, so I gave Landon a chocolate chip cookie to keep him occupied. He loved it! I was coming down the stairs and just had to laugh at him eating his cookie. I couldn't resist taking a few pictures.

Hopefully he won't be as bad as his mommy!

Wedding Bells!

This past weekend, we traveled to Florida for another wedding. This time it was one of Andrew's high school friends. Jace and Eva celebrated their wedding in Tallahassee, so we flew into Jacksonville dropped Landon off with Grandma and Papa Frosty, then we drove to Tallahassee. We really had a great time visiting with friends we haven't seen in a long time. Andrew and I also enjoyed this time away from Landon and my parents really enjoyed the time with Landon. Thanks, Jace and Eva, for a great time. We loved celebrating in your special day!

{The Gulf Breeze crowd, minus a few including my husband}

While we were away for the wedding, Landon was having a great time with my family. They bravely took Landon to Tampa, overnight, to watch Darren play in a baseball game. Once I get pictures, I will post them for all to see.

Darren O'Day

I just received new pictures of Darren O'Day and I thought I would share. We just think this is the greatest thing...so I'm sure there are more posts to come regarding Darren. The last two pictures are ones of him during his "hazing" period. He had to carry a pink backback (can't remember the character) onto the field. Darren no longer has to carry the backpack as he is no longer the "new" guy.

A Few Updates

I thought I would do a few updates:

1. The mother bird came back to her nest! We only know because Andrew decided to water the pot and the mother bird flew out. A little later we saw her in a tree keeping an eye on her nest. We're hopeful that the birds will hatch and be cared for.

2. On the last post, "tag, your it," I tagged 3 people but today I was thinking that one could actually count for two. I tagged Pablitorun, which also means I "tag" Katrinarun. They are both highschool friends of mine. Since they are married, "what they were doing 10, 5, 1 year ago" will be the same, but the rest will be different. I hope you both play along!

3. I thought I would include a picture of Landon with his friend, Brody. I find posts more enjoyable when there is a picture.
