Hut, Hut, Go!

I cannot explain the obsession this kid has with balls. Only those that have seen it know what I am talking about. He knows the particular ball associated with each sport (football, soccer, baseball, basketball & tennis). He even knows the difference of where each is played.

Whenever one of these sports (besides tennis) is on the tv, he searches the house for that particular ball. While the game is on, he plays and watches at the same time. Sometimes the tv will be off, but he finds one of his balls so then that particular sport has to be on! It's crazy!

Now that football is in full swing, it's on the tv...ALOT! Landon loves it, especially his Gators! Around his birthday he learned how to "hut, hut" and this weekend he figured out how to turn his bike helmet into a football helmet. I just had to take a few pictures!

For all you Gator fans, here's a story you'll appreciate. This Saturday, Landon was at soccer with Andrew and one of the other dads had on last years SEC championship (Alabama vs. Gators) shirt. It of course had a picture of a gator on it. Well, the dad was an Alabama fan and talking to someone about the team. He was mentioning, to whomever he was talking to, that he thought Alabama would win this year. During all of this Landon happened to see the Gator on the shirt and went up to the dad making the Gator chomp!!! Andrew said it was priceless and knew that would make Landon's uncles proud!

Friday's Fall Fun

Today was Andrew's Friday off so we decided to spend the day doing things together. We started by cleaning the house, but we didn't do it!!!! That was a nice treat. While the house was being cleaned we all went to the barber for Andrew & Landon's haircut. It was a good thing that I went because Landon threw a fit! He's never done that, hopefully this doesn't happen all the time.
After haircuts we went to lunch together & then were off to the Pumpkin Playground. It's not a pumpkin patch, but a nursery that has a playground that they decorate for Halloween. We started by going on the "tractor" for a ride around the nursery.
Landon & Libbie enjoyed the ride!

Then we headed to the carpet slides, which were super fun...even for Andrew & I.

Landon loved looking at the animals, especially the ducks and chickens. There were pigs, sheep, goats, and a donkey, also.
A few mechanical rides were placed around the playground. You didn't have to pay, so we let Landon ride as much as he wanted. When we are out and about & he sees these, they are for some reason always broken!!!!
I had to get a picture of Landon posing in the picture and surprisingly he cooperated.
So did Libbie...

Pumpkin Time

Ok, so this is my last post form when the twins came to visit. We had so much fun and can't wait to see them in November!

Like I mentioned before, KC bought a pumpkin for the kids. Her intentions were to get some pictures of the three little ones next to the pumpkin, then carve it. No one was interested in sitting for a picture. they were more interested in fighting over the pumpkin.

This was an attempt for the picture of the three kids, but we could only get the boys to sit with the pumpkin. As you can see in the background, Kinley wanted nothing to do with the boys, she would rather play near the forbidden yard!

Landon treated the pumpkin like a ball, which shouldn't come as a surprise to those of you that have seen him when he is around them! He goes crazy!

We finally got Kinley to pose with the pumpkin. I think she was trying to hold on to it to keep it from the boys.

Here they are fighting over the pumpkin. Looks like Kinley won!

After enough playing, we sat down to carve the pumpkin. Kinley and Landon were having fun with it, but Chance could have cared less.

We were so glad to have everyone visit these past two weeks. It was such a blessing to spend the first week with my mom and last week with KC and the kids.

We love you all!

A Perfect Picture

I don't think it's possible to get a "perfect" picture of 3, 2-year olds. We tried all week and here are a few of our attempts.

At the end of the week, KC bought a pumpkin. We thought this would be great for taking a picture of the kids, then we could carve it. Well, the kids loved the pumpkin but refused to sit still enough to take a picture, they were too worried about who was touching it. They would rather kick it, roll it, or sit on it, than take a picture with it!

This was before we tried taking a picture with the pumpkin. Not too bad, at least they are all looking!

When they're holding hands, a good picture usually comes about, I just chose the wrong one.

At certain times Landon likes his personal space, and this was one of them. We couldn't get him any closer to Kinley...at least they're all looking!

At least Kinley is saying "cheese"!

Lovin' on Libbie

Libbie was able to spend most of the week like this... But occasionally, the 3 "big" kids wanted to love on her. Kinley was the most interested in Libbie. She would always greet Libbie with "Hiii Bay-bee". It was super cute and to hear would make you smile.
Kinley was so sweet to Libbie and gave her kisses whenever she could.

Landon took a break from playing to hold Libbie.
Even Chance wanted to help. He was so excited when I asked him if he wanted to hold Libbie. Any other time he saw Libbie he would say, "baby sad". Just like Landon saying "she frying", it didn't matter to Chance what Libbie was doing, she was always sad.

All of the kids were amazing with Libbie and she received tons of love from everyone!

More Visitors

This past week we were lucky to have the company of these four....Actually, it was just really KC, Kinley and Chance. Sean drove up with them last Saturday and then he flew out on Monday morning. KC and the kids stayed all week, so our house was filled with 3 adults, 3 2-year-olds, & a newborn. It was a bit crazy, but tons of fun!

Since Sean was leaving so quickly, we stayed in on Sunday and cooked out. In order to prepare for the cookout, the boys (Andrew, Sean, Landon, & Chance) went to the grocery store and the girls (me, KC, Kinley & Libbie) headed to another store to pick up some of our favorite wine.

Besides those outings, the kids spent the day playing together! They even went on a few walks where they loved holding each other's hands.

I have more to post on our week with KC and the kids. It was tons of fun and KC's help was greatly appreciated. Andrew and I really didn't have to worry about Landon, he was having great fun with the twins and KC treated him like he was her own. Andrew and I were even able to get a night out alone before KC had to leave. Stay tuned for more...

More 2 Years, 2 Weeks

Today we decided to take Landon for his 2 year photo and we thought it would be a good idea to have Libbie come along to have her picture taken together.

In my mind I had these beautiful, loving pictures of Landon and Libbie together. As you can see in the three below, it didn't quite turn out the way I planned. Landon was not happy about holding Libbie or even sitting next to her, which is really strange because at home he loves to hold her.

Since those didn't work we decided to get some of Landon alone, which was our main goal. There are quite a few that I was happy with, here are a few.

Libbie managed to get a few good ones by herself, too.

We have many more, with the pictures we bought, we were able to get the entire collection on CD. All I have to do is edit them.

2 Years...2 Weeks

Yesterday Landon, Libbie, and I had our check-ups. Everyone is doing well.

My scar is healing well and the pounds are dropping, which is a good thing since I gained more weight with Libbie than with Landon. I'm moving around well but still trying to take it easy. It's been pretty easy since my mom was in town last week. We were so glad to have her help. Mom made dinner every night, did laundry, helped with the kids, and so much more. Thanks mom! We love you!

Libbie had her two week check-up. Libbie was 8lb 12 oz when she was born and when we left the hospital she was 8lb 4 oz. At the 2 week check-up the doctor's like the the babies to gain back the weight they lost, bringing them back to birth weight. Libbie surpassed that! She gained back the weight she lost plus almost another pound. She now weighs 9 lb 11 oz!!! Needless to say she isn't starving. She also gained an inch in height, so now she is 21 1/2 in. Libbie is in the 90th percentile for height and weight!

Landon also went to the doctor for his 2 year check-up. Landon is also growing, growing! Landon weighed in at 31 lbs, putting him in the 75th percentile. He is 36 3/4 in tall, putting him in the 95th percentile. We, more me than Andrew, were a little worried about his eating habits. The doctor assured us that as long as he's gaining weight, not to worry!

We are so blessed to have two healthy, growing children!
