More Progress on the Nursery

We added a few things to the nursery...
dresser, pictures, bookrack, etc.
We need to add his name (once we decide on it) above his crib.
Even Jaxson has found a place to call his own in the nursery.

Baby Shower

This past weekend Andrew's mom and sister hosted a baby shower in Virginia.
We received many great gifts for the baby!

It was great to have Brian's fiance, Debbie and friends from the area to help celebrate.

More Philadelphia

Here are some more pictures from our trip to Philadelphia.
Here's Independence Hall

A better picture of the Liberty Bell.

Andrew and I goofed around in one of the exhibits. Andrew found his way onto a $10 bill...

and I was sworn in as the President of the United States.

Philadelphia

Andrew and I traveled to Philadelphia with his parents to visit the King Tut exhibit and tour the city.
Here we are in frint of the Liberty Bell.

This is the Nation's oldest residential street, Elfreth's Alley. The houses were really neat and poeple still live in them today.

Of course we had to try the philly cheesesteaks at Pat's. No one was sent to the back of the line for ordering incorrectly!

We visited Betsy Ross's house

Nursery

This week I started getting the nursery ready. The room is painted and the crib and bedding are all in the room. There is still much more to do but at least the hard part is done.

Carmel

We stayed a night in Carmel. It was an adorable area of California!
Thank you Crouch's for your hospitality! It was great to visit even if it was for a night.
A beautiful view in Carmel.
The Carmel mission. We didn't get to go inside but it was absolutely gorgeous.

17 Mile Drive

While in California, Andrew and I traveled south to visit family friends in Carmel. On our way we drove the scenic 17 mile drive.
The famous Lone Cypress. It was amazing to see it out there all on its own.
Here's bird rock. Home to many birds (obviously!), seals and sea lions.

San Francisco

Andrew and I traveled to California for a conference in San Francisco. It was beautiful and had a great time. We're at the bottom of Lombard street. We walked to it...though I would have loved to drive down it.
Not too many sea lions out at Pier 39...but at least we were able to see some. They were hilarious to watch!
This is the one sight we didn't get to tour...Alcatraz. Andrew was pretty disappointed...maybe next time:)
We couldn't miss Ghiradelli Square. We didn't eat any Ghiradelli chocolate but had great chocolate cupcakes at Kara's cupcakes!
